| Life Jackets Again! A couple of years ago the Coast Guard was roasted for thinking about requiring boaters to wear life jackets all the time. So, now they're trying a "limited" approach. Life jackets are to be required under specific circumstances, like small boats (whatever small is), or by specific (unspecified) people. The request for comment is Docket ID 6219 and you can enter your comments at http://dmses.dot.gov/submit/BlankDSS.asp. We also suggest that you contact your congressional representatives and tell them that this issue was settled already. |
