The latest controversy, ESPN is threatening to withdraw TV coverage. Young America, The New York Yacht Club Syndicate has a sponsorship deal with Fox Sports Net. ESPN says they will not broadcast with a primary competitor's ads on Yound America's boat and sails.
Around Alone claims two more
The carnage continues! Autissier turned turtle in the Southern Pacific Ocean and was rescued by fellow competitor Giovanni Soldini, leaving only two boats in Class I. Just a few days later Marc Thercelin dismasted and turned toward the Falkland Islands for repairs.
