| America's Cup The latest controversy, ESPN is threatening to withdraw TV coverage. Young America, The New York Yacht Club Syndicate has a sponsorship deal with Fox Sports Net. ESPN says they will not broadcast with a primary competitor's ads on Young America's boat and sails. Young America has been given 23 days to settle the matter with ESPN. The outcome of this disagreement will set precedence for yacht racing media coverage. Is it just an oversight that Young America is not listed on the Official America's Cup Web Site? The final Road to the America's Cup series was won by Team New Zealand amid broken boats and cancelled races. Well, what did you expect from 1992 America's Cup boats? |

| Captain Cook The HMS Endeavour, the ship used by Captain James Cook to explore the South Pacific 200 years ago is believed to have been found in Newport Harbor, Rhode Island. Renamed Lord Sandwich, it was sunk by the British during the American Revolution to block approaching French naval forces. |
